Sign Regulations-Reed v. Town of Gilbert

The topic for the February lunch will be on the Implications of the Supreme Court case Reed v. Town of Gilbert on Sign Regulations. In 2015, the US Supreme Court ruled that the Town of Gilbert, Arizona, had violated the First Amendment by placing limits on the size of signs announcing church services. Daniel R. Mandelker, Professor of Law at Washington University and one of the country's leading scholars on land use law and sign regulations, will discuss what the outcome of this case means for municipal sign regulations.
