Welcome to the website of the Mid-Missouri Section(Mid-MO) of the Missouri Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA). This section serves the following mid-Missouri counties: Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Maries, Miller, Moniteau, Osage, Phelps and Randolph. Mid-MO is a local organization of professionals involved in planning and community building throughout the central Missouri region. Our members are concerned with the physical, social, and economic impacts of planning on the urban, suburban, and rural environment.

The Mid-MO Section is comprised of approximately 20 members. The Section has been working to build a better understanding of planning in the mid-Missouri region by conducting outreach and education sessions for local planning & zoning commissioners, city council members, county commissioners, boards of aldermen and other members of governing bodies. Members of the section have also been working with the Missouri Chapter of APA to get the revisions to the county planning statutes through the state legislature.
