Welcome to the St. Louis Metropolitan Section of the American Planning Association (APA) website. The St. Louis Metro Section is a local organization of professionals and students involved in planning and community building throughout the 8-county, bi-state region. Our members are concerned with the physical, social, and economic impacts of planning on the urban, suburban, and rural environment. The mission of the Section is “To promote a broader understanding of planning through education, communication and networking for the members and other citizen and professional planners in order to improve the social, economic and environmental vitality of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.”
